Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Guard

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Guard in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related issues and/or operational needs.
- Support daily operations by documenting observations, completing incident reports, and assisting with directions, information requests, and other customer service needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
