Security Professional - Front Desk Concierge

As a Security Professional - Front Desk Concierge in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and guests. Your role involves monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and assisting with security-related inquiries to help to deter incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, creating a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the secure environment of the site. What You'll Do:

• Greet visitors and employees in a professional manner at the front desk of the location.
• Monitor access to the premises by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following all site protocols.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies set by Allied Universal and the location.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the site.
• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors, addressing inquiries and/or concerns related to access and security-related matters.
• Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to company and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
