Security Officer Full Time Retail Patrol Job in San Marcos, Texas

As a Security Officer Full Time Retail Patrol in San Marcos, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers and employees. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver attentive customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, or potential loss-prevention concerns, escalating observations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, contacting management and emergency services when needed.
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence consistent with a high-end retail environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
