Security Officer - Tech Receptionist

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Receptionist in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading technology and media location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Your role focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience, maintaining a welcoming environment, and supporting security-related protocols. You'll manage access control, assist with inquiries, and communicate clearly with guests and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or contractors entering and exiting the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access control at the front desk, checking identification and visitor credentials as required by site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk location in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily front desk activities, visitor entries, and security-related incidents.
• Assist with the implementation of emergency response activities and provide guidance to visitors and staff during such events.
• Communicate professionally with individuals at the location, addressing questions, concerns, or security-related issues as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
