What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, yards, and restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading and unloading areas, trailer lots, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Support day-to-day logistics and distribution operations by communicating with staff and/or visitors, maintaining accurate access records, and following post orders for deliveries, pickups, and after-hours activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
