As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Unarmed in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology-driven location. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols and assist with access management, all while embodying our values of reliability, agility, and innovation. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies for the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, using good judgment to address any concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities or access.
• Follow all emergency response protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, or maintenance issues as observed during patrols.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and report potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
