As a Security Officer Government Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols throughout an innovative technology-focused location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $34.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
