Security Officer Office Building Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access awareness, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. In this visible role, you will help discourage security-related incidents while bringing a reliable, caring, and integrity-driven approach to every interaction through teamwork and professionalism.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, restricted areas, access points, parking locations, and perimeter zones, with working conditions varying by assignment.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and credentialed areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity in accordance with location rules and post orders.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of observed activity, incidents, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, which is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
