As a Security Officer in a commercial real estate setting, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This primarily driving role requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to support a welcoming environment through access control and visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when required.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and service-related interactions in clear and accurate reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
