Security Officer with Tactical Experience for Warehouse Job in Santa Fe Springs, California

As a Security Officer with Tactical Experience for Warehouse in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor information, issuing access materials, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving activity, and access control systems; report unauthorized access attempts, damaged equipment, or unusual activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
