Security Officer Access Control Driver Job in Saratoga Springs, New York

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Saratoga Springs, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and communicating professionally with visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue and retrieve visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry by controlling access to restricted areas, screening visitors and deliveries in accordance with established procedures, and escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, or unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
