Security Officer - Retail Entry Desk

As a Security Officer - Retail Entry Desk in SAVANNAH, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a large retail distribution location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and assisting employees while monitoring access to the facility. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your attentive presence and by utilizing access control systems. Your role involves providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly with all individuals entering or exiting the premises. What You'll Do:

• Greet visitors and employees at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence and offering assistance as needed.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site policies to help to deter unauthorized activity within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, and visitors regarding security-related matters.
• Support emergency response activities from the front desk, including alerting appropriate personnel and assisting with building evacuation procedures when necessary.
• Maintain awareness of the immediate area, promptly reporting any unusual or suspicious activity to Allied Universal and/or site management.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for all clients, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
