As a Security Officer specializing in access control within a logistics and distribution environment, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols throughout the location to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be relied upon to provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.67 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and/or employees with access procedures and general inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for logistics and distribution environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns or irregularities.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
