Conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous assistance to riders, employees, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at public transit locations.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of transit stations, platforms, facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency personnel and/or transit authorities when appropriate.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and document observations in detailed incident reports.
- Provide directions and assistance to the public while maintaining a professional presence and supporting orderly operations throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
