Our unarmed Security Officers at a busy retail location monitor and patrol assigned areas, including driving patrols, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will stay visible, support daily operations, and respond to routine concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities throughout a retail and mall environment.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and tenant activity, and provide assistance with security-related concerns, lost and found matters, and/or general directions within the location.
- Support mall operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, while helping to maintain an orderly environment for guests and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
