Security Officer Patrol Driver Trainee

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Trainee in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will help monitor assigned areas through routine patrols and a primarily driving post presence, support security-related responses, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, work with integrity, and help to deter incidents through visibility, teamwork, and professionalism.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting them through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, assist with crowd management, and address security-related issues with professionalism.
- Assist with de-escalation, directional support, and coordination with mall management and/or first responders during medical, fire, weather, or other emergency-related events.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
