What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or security-related concerns.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal guidelines, maintaining professional presence and following applicable use of force and reporting procedures.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized activity while supporting daily operations at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
