Security Officer Controlled Access

As a Security Officer Controlled Access in Shelby Township, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help manage access for employees, visitors, and deliveries. In this access control role, you will support a professional environment through strong communication, visible presence, and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and help to control authorized access to offices, lobbies, and other restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Document visitor activity, badge issues, deliveries, and other security-related events in required logs, reports, and/or electronic systems.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observe for unusual activity or potential concerns, and report security-related issues according to post procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
