As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
