Security Officer - Access Checkpoint

As a Security Officer - Access Checkpoint in Sioux City, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a major food and beverage location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail will support a secure and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain high visibility, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and managing entry points according to site-specific policies.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and general inquiries.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and client policy.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following site-specific protocols and instructions from supervisory staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
