Security Officer Screening Agent

As a Security Officer Screening Agent in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, screen visitors and materials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, help to discourage incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and innovation, this role offers a meaningful way to put people first every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
- Monitor access points and perform screening of people, bags, packages, and/or materials in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of communication.
- Verify credentials, process visitor entry activity, and document screening results, unusual activity, and/or policy violations in required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining aware of shipping, receiving, and high-traffic areas where additional screening support may be needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
