Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Skokie, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer for Allied Universal at a leading retail location, you will drive and/or walk assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting customers with a commitment to excellent service, and communicating clearly with both visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for visitors and staff at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report security-related incidents or concerns to management and/or law enforcement as required.
• Support access control protocols by monitoring entrances and exits within the location and assisting with crowd management as necessary.
• Maintain a professional presence while interacting with visitors, customers, and employees, providing information and assistance as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
