Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Team

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Team in South Salem, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment at an engaging location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.59 - $22.59 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
