Armed Security Guard - Gate Access

ARMED Guard Card holders are eligible for a $5,000 Sign-on BONUS for Full-Time or $3,000 for Part Time.

As a ArmedSecurity Guard - Gate Access in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working with integrity and teamwork to put people first throughout every shift.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and other security-related concerns.
- Support public-facing operations by assisting visitors and staff, following post orders, and coordinating with supervisors and/or local authorities during escalated events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
