Security Officer - Dispatch - Secure Technology Job in Sparks, Nevada

As a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Communications Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Security Professional with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and support timely responses to security-related needs. This driving position calls for strong customer service and clear communication while helping to maintain an organized environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to utility operations personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor dispatch communications, alarm activity, and incoming service requests; accurately document, prioritize, and route information to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident reports, activity records, and shift handoff information in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, access points, and the perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
