Security Officer Authorization Access Job in Spartanburg, South Carolina

As a Security Officer Authorization Access in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access authorization, greeting visitors, and documenting activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, lobby areas, business spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Report security-related incidents, access-control concerns, and maintenance issues accurately and promptly using required documentation and communication channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
