Security Officer Full Time Access Monitor Job in Spartanburg, South Carolina

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Monitor in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional presence, help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain accurate access records.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry and support the protection of shipments, vehicles, facilities, and property by following established entry, exit, and screening procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
