Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while putting people first every day.

- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit centers, parking areas, platforms, bus staging areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and help to deter unauthorized entry, disorderly conduct, and/or other security-related concerns.
- Support daily operations by providing visible presence, assisting with customer inquiries, and communicating clearly with supervisors, employees, and/or first responders during routine activities and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
