Security Officer Armed Rover Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Rover Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post, offering the chance to work as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first, values integrity, and brings innovation to every shift.

- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and movement throughout the location, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders.
- Support facility operations by remaining prepared to intervene during security-related incidents, following use-of-force guidelines, and completing required reports, logs, and/or other post documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
