As a Security Officer - Media Reception Desk in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecom location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge activity, and support a professional lobby experience. You will monitor cameras and entry points, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk post to help manage facility access by greeting visitors, confirming authorization, and directing them to the appropriate contact or location.
  • Issue, collect, and account for visitor credentials and/or temporary badges in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Monitor and respond to security-related alarms, alerts, and communications from building systems and/or monitoring tools used at a technology-focused location.
  • Answer and route incoming calls and inquiries, relay messages, and coordinate with client contacts and/or building management as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying the appropriate parties per post orders.
  • Observe lobby and entry areas for unusual activity and report concerns promptly to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Complete shift reports, access records, and incident documentation using required paper and/or electronic systems.
  • Coordinate visitor appointments, deliveries, and vendor check-ins, confirming authorization and directing traffic to designated pickup and drop-off areas.
  • Support emergency procedures such as lockdowns, evacuations, and medical response notifications by following site instructions and communicating updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Client requires proof of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - Be at least 21 years of age.
  • - Access Control and/or Badge Experience is preferred.
  • - Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • - Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
