As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting access control and visitor badge activity. You will be a calm, customer-focused presence, using clear communication and basic technology to document observations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and authorized entry areas, observe visitor traffic, and report irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, alarms, and disturbances, and request additional assistance when needed.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and complete detailed documentation in daily activity reports and incident reports.
  • Support building operations by reporting maintenance and life system concerns such as lighting outages, unsecured doors, and unusual equipment conditions through the proper reporting channels.
  • Assist with de-escalation of conflicts using customer service techniques while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Operate security-related equipment as directed by site procedures, which may include radios, CCTV monitoring systems, access control systems, and electronic reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with on-site personnel and/or local responders during emergency response activities, providing clear updates and following site-specific instructions.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for patrol frequencies, reporting requirements, and communication standards while working in varying environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
