Security Officer Patrol Responder

As a Security Officer Patrol Responder in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support people on site through strong customer service and communication. You will complete routine patrols, document activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify concerns and support site protocols.
- Monitor access points, observe activity, and document security-related issues, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post instructions.
- Support emergency and routine operations by assisting with directions, de-escalation, and communication during alarms, disturbances, and/or other site events.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
