Security Officer with Active Clearance Job in St Louis, Missouri

As a Security Officer with Active Clearance Asset Protection in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine access and site checks, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $21.53 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, employee, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Support the protection of aerospace and defense operations by following established protocols for access control, incident reporting, and protection of sensitive areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
- Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
