Security Officer Full Time Residential Building Patrol Job in Staten Island, New York

As a Security Officer Full Time Residential Building Patrol in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as required.
- Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
