Security Officer - CRE Unarmed Patrols Full-Time

As a Security Officer - CRE Unarmed Patrols Full-Time in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in upholding a welcoming environment by providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to all occupants and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management, site staff, and local authorities as needed to address security-related situations.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit points as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience in a security-related role is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
