Security Officer Reception Console with Active Clearance

As a Security Officer Reception Console with Active Clearance in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic tech and telecom location, you will help manage access, welcome visitors, monitor activity from a central post, and support day-to-day security-related operations with professionalism and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor lobby and reception areas, manage access control activities, and verify credentials for guests, vendors, and/or deliveries entering the location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Support security-related operations by answering phones, documenting visitor activity, maintaining required logs and reports, and directing people to the appropriate contact or destination.
- Assist with enforcing location policies related to access, visitor management, and professional conduct in a technology-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
