As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation-related government location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor authorization as directed, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, activities, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying emergency services and/or supervisors when required.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related events.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
