Security Officer Access Coordination Driver Job in Sulphur, Louisiana

As a Security Officer Access Coordination Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter incidents through a visible presence and professional communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that works together and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and support controlled entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, perimeter locations, parking areas, and restricted zones, helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Document daily activities, observations, incidents, and access-control exceptions in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
