Security Officer Admittance Driver

As a Security Officer Admittance Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily security-related operations. This is a driving post. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate with professionalism. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity for a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry by screening personnel and vehicles, controlling entry and exit activity, and reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access control areas, operational spaces, and perimeter locations, noting security-related issues and/or maintenance concerns.
- Support emergency response activities by following post orders, directing traffic flow during changing site conditions, and maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required records.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
