Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Morning Shift

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Morning Shift in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, work with integrity, and contribute through teamwork in a dynamic hospital environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, offering direction and assistance while helping to support a professional and welcoming environment.
- Assist with security-related requests and routine duties within a healthcare location, which may include observing for policy violations, reporting hazards, and/or communicating with staff during urgent situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals when required.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
