Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Morning Shift

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Morning Shift in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, offering direction and assistance while helping to support a professional and welcoming environment.
- Assist with security-related requests and routine duties within a healthcare location, which may include observing for policy violations, reporting hazards, and/or communicating with staff during urgent situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals when required.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
