As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with loss prevention activities, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating professionally with shoppers, employees, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe conditions within the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly shopping environment by providing directions, supporting store operations, and documenting security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
