Security Officer Patrol Response Officer

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Officer in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points as needed. This role blends strong customer service and communication with a people-first culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document details according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, sales floors, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support loss prevention and crowd management efforts during busy periods, special events, and/or peak shopping hours while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
