As a Security Officer Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and/or employee activity, and report unusual behavior, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Support loss prevention and store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with customer concerns, and communicating with local management and/or first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
