As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions or occurrences.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or issues according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Interact with the public, employees, and/or vendors in a courteous and professional manner while representing Allied Universal on site.
• Support loss prevention efforts by being alert to potential theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activity within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
