Security Officer Driver Reception Job in Syracuse, New York

As a Security Officer Driver Reception in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a utilities location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will help maintain an orderly environment, provide exceptional customer service, and respond professionally to inquiries and incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel at a utility location by following site-specific procedures and access requirements.
- Serve as the primary front desk contact, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
- Monitor entry activity, receive and route phone calls, manage incoming deliveries, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established emergency response procedures.
- Assist with security-related administrative duties, including maintaining logs, reporting unusual activity, and supporting access control processes in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
