Security Officer Access Verification Job in Tampa, Florida

As a Security Officer Access Verification in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location. You will manage badge access, monitor entry points, greet employees and visitors, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. Through professional communication and customer service, you will support an orderly environment while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-control records.
- Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments in accordance with site procedures, coordinating with designated personnel regarding access to loading, warehouse, and production areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and restricted-access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
