Security Officer Armed Patrol Team

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Team in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and communication. In this fast-moving environment, you will bring a caring, agile, and reliable approach while working with integrity and teamwork to support people, property, and activity throughout the site.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout docks, warehouses, cargo areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and support the screening of vehicles, deliveries, and/or visitors in accordance with site policies and post orders.
- Perform armed post duties with professionalism, maintain awareness of surroundings, and follow Allied Universal standards for reporting, escalation, and other security-related responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
