As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Evening Shift in Temple Terrace, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities in accordance with site expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas while assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and direction-giving in a professional manner.
- Support healthcare location operations by communicating with staff and first responders during medical, fire, and/or other emergency situations as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
- Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment, as required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
