Armed Security Officer - Medical Job in Tempe, Arizona

As a Armed Security Officer - Medical in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, maintaining awareness of donor privacy and facility operations.
- Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
