As a Security Officer - Overnight Desk Patrols in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for employees and visitors. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service while remaining alert to security-related incidents. By being the first point of contact, you help to deter potential disruptions and create a positive experience for everyone entering the facility. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access control for employees, visitors, and vendors, verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs as required by location protocols.
  • Assist with the screening of individuals entering the facility, following established guidelines to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities at the location, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and internal teams to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence at the front desk to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a positive environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
